A musical and communicative conductor, and a deserving recipient of the Solti Award.

  • Congratulations, Gemma! This award is richly deserved. We were so fortunate to have you as our music director for a few years, and it has been wonderful to hear about all your subsequent successes!

  • Karl says:

Good conductor! I’ve seen her at Tangelwood and in Montreal.

  • Mark Jordan says:

She subbed on short notice for an ill Bramwell Tovey in Elgar’s Enigma Variations with the Cleveland Orchestra a couple of summers ago and nailed it. One of the best performances I’ve ever heard of the piece.
