La Scala demands vaccination for all artists
mainFollowing last week’s limited Covid outbreak in the ballet, La Scala’s sovrintendente Dominique Meyer today issued an appeal to the Italian government to have performers at all Italian theatres rapidly vaccinated.
Making an ‘appeal not only for La Scala but for all opera, concert halls and theatres,’ he demands inoculation for ‘all artists who cannot wear masks, such as singers, choristers, actors, hornists, dancers.’
Italy has, as of today, so far dispensed only 5.6 million vaccinations.
La Scala has resumed rehearsals for its suspended Kurt Weill shows.
I agree. Vaccinations for everybody working in theaters. Until then, you should not keep rehearsing and performing, knowing what could, and in this case , did happen. It is not even a case of expect the unexpected. Expect the expected. Danger lurks in all of the theaters in the world, which is why most of them (except in the worst affected countries including Spain and Italy. Do you wonder why they are among the worst affected countries?) are shut down for the time being.
Against the Nuremberg Codex. Is he prepared to take ALL responsibilty, and also set an example, being ‘vaccinated’ under supervision. No fakes, like we have been seeing repeatedly?

Artists aren’t at a higher risk group because they are artists, but because they don’t engage in safe practices.
Sam, you are correct. But let’s look a little more closely at what goes on. In the orchestra, which is tightly packed together, 1/3 of the members can’t wear a mask, since they need to blow into their instruments.
As far as what happens on stage, the ballerini probably weren’t permitted to wear masks, and that is why there was a super spreader event among them. If there are singers, they won’t be wearing masks either, probably it impedes their singing.They don’t engage in safe practices because they aren’t allowed to and/or can’t. So the blame goes on the gov’t and /or management for allowing performances to take place.

I’d suggest artists take responsibility to trying to find out how to get vaccinated.
Here in the US, I got my vaccination done on February 14. I’m an artist with no health problems and aged 25. I called to check to see if the clinic had any extra vaccines and they said they had a few because some people didn’t show up that day.
This isn’t just a vaccine issue, it’s the whole classical music culture. We must be proactive in getting what we want and not wait for people to hand us what we think we should get and complain… this is why our industry is crumbling, it’s baked in the glory of the past.
Cora, I’m happy for you. But here in Austria (where up to now the Covid response has been great) there are simply very few vaccines to be had, regardless of who you are. I know of one person who has had the first vaccine, and she is 92.
Big difference between getting a vaccine in the US & any where else in the world, my dear. Here in Europe, you cannot be “proactive”. It is socialized medicine and you wait your turn.
How nice for you that at age 25 & no health issues you’ve had the privilege of being vaccinated while over 80’s in many EU nations and even in the US are still waiting. In the US, there are elderly who are not computer literate, don’t drive and do not have the luxury of your “proactivity”. In Europe, all of that plus there just isn’t enough vaccine. “Proactive”? What do you expect them to do, roll out of their nursing homes in their wheelchairs and demand to be vaccinated?
In Europe you would be considered selfish & greedy for taking a vaccine that should have gone to someone more deserving. In the US, the rollout is designed to favor people like you, and not those who truly need the vaccine. I sure as hell would not be bragging about how clever you were to get vaccinated, with so many more deserving people still waiting.
This is one of the more choice stories about “proactivity” in getting vaccinated: a rich young, healthy Canadian couple who traveled to a rural indigenous community & got vaccinated with doses meant for tribal elders. Proactive indeed.

I believe that we have a different view on morals. It’s either that these vaccines go to waste or someone jumps on the opportunity. Do you really believe that the government really cares about you? They are other people just like us on the other side. I don’t agree with what happened in Canada at all, but here in America, we have to call our doctors to receive the vaccination. Everyone I know has taken a proactive step, and if there are no vaccines, they will put you on the list.
I happen to call and they said, we have a few vaccines that have not been used up today, so feel free to come in as no one else was scheduled to come. Do you think anyone should give up that chance?

I hope the lawsuits fly, in Europe & in America. This is phase 3 of clinical trials of *experimental* injections, phase 3 lasts 2 years. Anyone offering themselves as guinea pigs before all phases of the clinical trials are concluded are doing so at their own risk. And yes, it’s against the Nuremberg Code. Item 1 of the Nuremberg Code protects the right to informed consent. All vaccine mandates are in violation of this code. The CDC website reports Doktor Faust himself said these injections won’t protect anyone from anything and you still need to wear 1.9 trillion masks. All of this for a virus with a 99,4% survival rate if you do catch it and do absolutely nothing about it.
Understand that these mRNA injections are not vaccines to begin with, they’re are carriers. They have DNA-changing nanoparticles that make your cells go on overdrive (when activated by 5G and 6G) in the production of proteins that supposedly fight the virus before you catch it. There’s no off switch. Your immune system eventually collapses. The injections turn people into GMOs, you’re no longer the same human. Take daily supplements, you don’t need the poisonous jab, C, D3, Zinc, Selenium daily are excellent to keep your immune system strong. Eat oranges, drink lots of lemon water. Hilarious to watch those who ridiculed Trump for suggesting that people should “inject disinfectant” to fight covid now lining up for this *experimental* cocktail of toxins. Human guinea pigs. I’m glad I’m in Florida and our governor’s ready to fight the medical mafia. I feel sorry for New Yorkers from the bottom of my heart.

NOBODY knows what the short term or long term effects of these “vaccines” will be. If I unfortunately get covid, there are much cheaper and more effective ways of treating it early. You haven’t heard? Not my fault…

As a Christian I want to see everyone survive, including the ones making the mistake you made. A vaccine takes at least 5 years to develop, this isn’t a vaccine, it’s gene therapy. From December 14, 2020, through March 8, 2021, the CDC received 1,637 reports of death among people who received a COVID-19 “vaccine”. The CEO of Pfizer was denied entry in Israel because he never got his own vaccine. I rest my case.

“The European Parliament has announced that there will be no vaccine coercion.
The parliament ruled in a January 27 meeting that it officially opposes the imposition of vaccines and the use of political, social or other means to create pressure to get vaccinated. The claim is as if it were discrimination, as there are populations that for various reasons choose not to be vaccinated or are unable for medical reasons.
Note the writing in paragraph 7.3.1:
“While maintaining a high vaccination rate: make sure citizens are aware that the vaccine is not mandatory and no one is subject to political, social or other pressure to get vaccinated if it goes against their will.”
It added: “It must be ensured that there is no discrimination against those who are not vaccinated due to medical problems or that they have chosen not to be vaccinated because we are not interested in it.”
