Tunisia mourns its premier maestro

Ahmed Achour, long-serving chief of the Tunisia Symphony Orchestra, has died of a lengthy illness a week before his 76th birthday.

After joining the orchestra’s first violins in 1971, he ook over the administration from 1979 to 2011 and was also chief conductor.
