A very, very great man!
A lovely man. I was his soprano soloist once when I was first starting out on my career. End of an era and of someone who contributed so much to the life of Exeter and the world of cathedral music in general. My condolences to all the family. May he rest in peace.
I was in his choir as a choral scholar in 1973, maybe this recording??
His son Andrew is now choirmaster of Westminster Abbey and led the chor of rht ecoronation of King Charles III
