US opera replaces Alexander Neef

Santa Fe Opera has appointed David Lomelí of the Dallas Opera as Chief Artistic Officer, starting May 1. He replaces Alexander Neef who has gone to Paris and Brad Woolbright who has retired.

Lomelí will continue as artistic advisor to Dallas Opera for the time being.

    Congratulations! How many full time jobs can one have? Mr. Lomeli is supposed to start as casting director with the new intendant in Munich as well from 2021-22 on….

      He pulled out of that Casting Director appointment before he ever physically got to Munich. Now he will just “consult.”
