Lomelí will continue as artistic advisor to Dallas Opera for the time being.

  • Beautiful Sunsets of Santa Fe. says:

    To do what exactly?

  • John B says:

A BRILLIANT appointment. Santa Fe Opera is in GREAT hands.

  • AB says:

Congratulations! How many full time jobs can one have? Mr. Lomeli is supposed to start as casting director with the new intendant in Munich as well from 2021-22 on….

    • Erstwhile Impresario says:

He pulled out of that Casting Director appointment before he ever physically got to Munich. Now he will just “consult.”

  • I sometimes wonder if the international opera community, which is so small and intertwined, has spent a little too much time stewing in its own soup.

  • Jeremy Higgins says:

David is one of the (rare) genuinely lovely people in this industry. I’m happy for him and his family that he now spends more time in the US.
