Bayreuth conductor gets engaged
mainThe Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv, who is due to make her Bayreuth debut with Flyning Dutchman this summer, has announced her engagement to Andrii Murza, director of the Odessa international Violin Competition.
Lyniv, 43, was previously married to a Ukrainian tenor. She will be the first woman to conduct at Bayreuth.
