  • Edward Rothberg says:

A grey Sunday morning in Paris, this was so unexpected and I am so grateful for it. As I am for Slipped Disc. Thank you, Mr. Lebrecht.

  • The View from America says:

It’s a fitting end of the story — history coming full circle. exil.arte is the perfect place for these artifacts to find their home.

  • fred says:

Doesn’t Kiepura’s heritage belong to Poland?

  • E says:

She is singing in German, but this is pure Vienna.
Edward Rothberg has said it well: “…this was so unexpected and I am so grateful for it, as I am for Slipped Disk. Thank you, Mr. Lebrecht.” Thank you.

I had the great pleasure of attending Marta Eggerth’s concert at the Neue Gallery in NY, when the great lady was 98-years-young ! I even got to meet her afterwards. It was a uniquely memorable occasion !

    • Marjan Kiepura says:

Yes, these concerts were special when my mother appeared at the Neue Gallerie. In fact, she remained active singing till her 100th birthday. Glad you were there. Nice memories, indeed.
