Bartoli cancels amid Covid fears, other stars too
mainCecilia Bartoli has pulled out of a Barcelona date later this month in alarm at rising Covid numbers. It’s the last stop on her Farinelli tour which starts this weekend in Vienna.
Hélène Grimaud has called off two concerts next week with Camerata Salzburg, where seven musicians have tested positive.
Leonard Slatkin has withdrawn from the Detroit Symphony.

Well, Bartoli added a concert in Florence, so some are canceling and some are programming…
Italy is by far safer than Austria or Spain, and necessitating air travel.
No surprise, and not unreasonable, considering the different COVID trajectories of Spain and Italy at this time.
Nelsons and the Gewandhaus have cancelled three Beethoven concerts at the Philharmonie de Paris in late November, with Mutter, Trifonov and Müller-Schrott. A concert there by Järvi and the Tonhalle has also been cancelled.
But that is beause of the testrictions INSIDE Paris/France
