The German director Ulrich Hauschild has been dismissed as head of the Bozar (Palais des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles), the hub of the Euro capital’s musical activities.

The hall is shut and is piling up deficits so the committee decided to save on the director’s salary. He had been in the job for eight years.

Expect other halls to do the same in the coming weeks.

The hall certainly isn’t shut. There are concerts happening all weekend there, and in to October in a ‘corona-safe’ way.
