      Beautiful very early piece…. very Wienerisch… very sweet……… very charming…… on his way to Verklärte Nacht. The still innocent Schoenberg before he became a visionary and had to sacrifice everything he had absorbed from the best of the Viennese tradition because it was a ‘bourgeois lie’ (read Carl Schorke’s ‘Fin-de-Siècle Vienna’).
