The Slipped Disc daily comfort zone (24): Master of mercy
mainA piece for violas by my friend Oded Zehavi, premiered in London by Rivka Golani and friends in the weeks before the lockdown. It is based on tunes for one of the most fervent Hebrew prayers.
A beautiful piece that deserves better players; the quarter tones were surely not intended.
Rivka is amazing!
Should note, the group is also conducted by a violist, Nick Pendlebury.
Perhaps better translated as Master of Pardons or Master of Forgiveness. Thank you for sharing.
