What a great session Norman and I didn’t realise you were such a folk music fan until your recent choices to comfort us! As you know the Edinburgh Music Review covers folk music as well as opera and classical music basically because these are the musics I love! We have Dave Francis the organiser of traditional music Scotland as our advisor and we have had some very good folk reviews in our first 2 months including Iona Fyfe recently featured ending the Today programme with Hamish Henderson’s great anthem Freedom Come All Ye.(a suitable choice for a futility slot!)
Incidentally the singer of the Belfast Mountains is Alan Burke and he is superb as are the rest Of the musicians of that amazing session ! Hugh Kerr editor Edinburgh Music Review
Great stuff what Terry Wogan called tiddley eye music, loved the dancing too.
