Viola snaps another prize
mainA month after winning the inaugural Jeffrey Tate award and getting signed by an agent, the British violist Timothy Ridout, 24, has received a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship award, worth £20,000.
The other BBT winners are the Aris Quartett of Frankfurt-am-Main; the Italian pianist Filippo Gorini; Californian violinist Alexi Kenney; the Amatis Trio; Italian percussionist Simone Rubino and the all-female Paris piano trio Trio Sõra.
