‘It depends on how you feel for the day. It’s not as it used to be. Now I have to listen to what the body says. On certain days it’s easier, on certain days it’s more difficult. Annabelle (Weidenfeld) understands exactly how I feel and what I feel. She knows what I should feel…. I always ask her for advice. It’s very important to me that she likes it. If she likes it then I know it is good. If she doesn’t like it, then I’d better get practising.’
