Jacobs School of Music mourns a Dean

Michael Gordon, who was professor of music from 1975 to 1981 and dean of students from 1981 to 1991, died on Monday at the age of 82.
A strict disciplinarian, he is remembered with much gratitude.
He was also Professor of Music from 1991 to his 2001 retirement.
