Symphony orchestra wears cheeky socks in honour of late President Bush
mainMembers of the Houston Symphony tell us that this weekend they are breaking black dress code to pull on ‘the type of crazy, colorful socks’ that the former president loved to wear. HW Bush was a frequent patron of the Houston Symphony, lastly with Barbara last December at Handel’s Messiah.
Lovely, impromptu gesture.
Justin Trudeau wasn’t the first!!
One great man was a US President, the other a former ski instructor and current Director of a Canadian social club.
I like how you call them both great men 🙂
Mighty white of you, as we used to say back in the good ol’ days 😉
If this is the best trolling you can manage, comrade, you really should be replaced by a Macedonian teenager.
By the second comment a puff piece about colorful socks morphed into knee-jerk politics. I salute you!
For once, just give it a rest. Go and play with your Carlos Kleiber records.
I suggest they do this permanently.
Well done, Houston Symphony Orchestra! What a grand gesture to show your love and honour of a great and fine man! It shows you knew him well! PS Symphony orchestras don’t always have to be dressed in black and stuffy.
I’m ing .
