Vienna settles the case of the sacked cellist
mainYou may recall that the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) fired a well-known cellist in April. The individual concerned was also suspended from his positions at the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic, both of which later reinstated him.
Meanwhile, he sued the university.
This case has now been ‘terminated in the mutual interest’.
The hearing was behind closed doors and there is nothing more to report.
