Just in: Major US orchestra backs sacked Swedish musician
mainThe row over the unjust sacking of a brass player in the Jönköpings Sinfonietta has now spread all the way over to the US.
This picture is just in from Minnesota, where many residents are of Swedish descent.
The message reads: Brass players of the Minnesota Orchestra support Magnus Jonsson
The second Trombonist is a Finn, so that is at least a nominal connection, I suppose.
But most members of the orchestra are not even from Minnesota, let alone of Nordic background, so I’m not sure that is the impetus.
