He also got a composing co-credit for such immortal legends as this:

Gérard died yesterday, aged 85.

    This has always been one of my favourite Brel works. I knew a fair amount about Jouannest – he also worked with (and eventually married) Juliette Greco, who did a cover of this song – but not that he had been one of its writers. Thanks, Norman, for this little tribute.
