Frankenstein, the Brussels monster
mainThe 2018-19 season of La Monnaie, announced today, features the world premiere of Frankenstein, an opera by the American composer, Mark Grey.
The Brussels date is three years behind schedule, but the horror stuff should feel timely for Brexiteers.
Well, in London RCM and Tête à Tête festival are staging 5 new 15 minutes operas inspired by Frankenstein:

For composers / sound designers, who want to write the ‘cutting edge stuff’ of today with the help of electronic utensils to support local communities, the subject may be quite tricky.
Mr Grey likes to educate the audience. It would be interesting to see how that would work-out with Frankenstein.
