Australia loses a concertmaster
mainWe hear that Eoin Andersen is leaving the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra after two years.
The Wiconsin violinist, formerly principal second violin of Zurich Opera, maintains a second home in Berlin.
His departure was reported on classical radio.
He must be a good musician, he’s grasping his chin:

Ausnahmen bestätigen die Regel…

(…he’s admittedly still trying to figure out how exactly to grasp his chin)
MSO also has the excellent Dale Barltrop as concertmaster Barltrop has led the orchestra in most concerts recently.
I hear Mr Barltrop is not easy to get along with.
Only the best musicians are allowed to grab their chin on photo shoots.
Thank you for pointing out this important detail.
