Death of a bassoon legend
mainDanish media are reporting the death of Peter Bastian, a founder of the Danish Wind Quintet, a physicist and a wild-trek explorer. He was 73.
Among other pursuits, he was a rare private student of the conductor Sergiu Celibidache.

What a talented bassoonist. He is an inspiration to us bassoonist who have branched out into other musical traditions. I wish I had met him. Sorry to hear of his passing.
