The Opéra de Paris has confirmed that the German tenor will end his enforced five-month absence, singing Lohengrin tonight.
There is, however, one cast change.
Wolfgang Koch has pulled out as Teleramund. He is replaced by Tomasz Konieczny.

Correction: it was a 3 months absence. JK sang in Italy in October, 2016 promoting his “Dolce Vita” CD.
Sorry, Jutta, but Jonas did not sing at all in public after Sept 12; until the Lohengrin rehearsals and then the performance last night (18 Jan). There was a film associated with his release of Dolce Vita, ¨Mein Italien¨ released in October but that was filmed in July.

“Le timbre, le phrasé, la diction ne trompent pas : c’est bien lui, en forme mais prudent, qui sollicite l’aigu avec parcimonie, dose sagement la puissance, renonce par avance aux coups d’éclat.”
