Soloist loses 10 flutes in house burglary
mainMarion Ralincourt, solo flute of Quintette Aquilon and Les Siècles, reports the theft of ten flutes from her house at Fontainebleau.
She has posted the following appeal, with serial numbers of the instruments.
Please share.
Chers tous,

V. Lind’s internet is down, so I will post for him. “When will musicians learn to not have musical instruments in their homes? These stories just do not stop. We all have stressors, pressures, and perfume-testers, but we soldier on. To have not one, not two, but ten musical instruments in a musician’s home is unimaginable. I’m a sympathetic individual, but such recklessness in unforgivable.”
Where would you suggest they be?
Exactly. And that’s what I told V. Lind. But he has other ideas. Maybe he’ll chime in when his internet is restored.
I’m awfully sorry, but who is V. Lind?
All these terrible stories sound as if a performance with a really hughe number of players is going to take place somewhere.
Instruments were reclaimed later in November, arrests made! https://www.lefigaro.fr/musique/2016/11/29/03006-20161129ARTFIG00234-la-virtuose-marion-ralincourt-a-retrouve-ses-dix-flutes-volees.php
Per earlier in this comment thread: the idea that working musicians don’t keep their musical instruments at home as somehow suggested earlier in the comment thread: ludicrous. And that person is clearly ignorant on aspects of a working musician’s life and equipment needs.
