Pianist’s daughter is found dead at foot of cliff
mainThe Multnomah County Medical Examiner has identified a body found in an area of natural beauty as that of Annie Schmidt, daughter of Jon Schmidt, a member of the Piano Guys group. The cause of death was accidental.
Annie went missing four weeks ago, after telling her father she was going for a hike.
Jon has thanked all who helped in the search: ‘There is no way to thank our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ for the support we have felt through you. You have searched with us, prayed with us, hoped with us, fasted with us, supported us and sacrificed for us. We thank you from the very bottom of our hearts!!!!’
A truly heartbreaking story. Why do youngsters set-out for a hike alone? Why the risk-taking? One can only live through such ordeal, as a family, with a spiritual world view, which is – by the way – the best way to get through life and face-up to its tragedies.
