It’s at Boulder, and it has been won by the Schwarz-Bournaki Duo – US cellist Julian Schwarz with Canadian pianist Marika Bournaki. They came top of 156 contenders.

    Julian is the son of conductor Gerard Schwarz. I had the pleasure of presenting him as a concerto soloist with an orchestra I managed when he was still in high school in Seattle. Is Ms.Bournaki also his “significant other?”
