Pittsburgh Symphony talks go into extra time
mainThe musicians and management have agreed to extend the contract deadline, which expired at midnight, for another two weeks after failing to reach agreement.
The extra time allows them to play a sorely-needed fund-raising gala on September 17.
The two sides were locked in talks for three days without nearing agreement.
The orch is financially on the brink.
