Peru’s new president is a former London music student
mainPedro Kuczynski, who was sworn in last week as president in Lima, spent a year studying piano and flute at the Royal College of Music before he went up to Oxford.
Kuczynski, who is now 77, would have been in the class of ’56.
Anyone remember him?
He still plays.
Great news for Peru! As a flutist, I wonder how much he delved into flute performance? Going further, curious if he ever encountered Claude Bolling’s suites for flute and jazz piano trio. Many flutists gravitate to those rather quickly.
A lesson to those running Britain!!! At least Prince Charles plays the cello and loves Wagner’s Ring!
