IU plucks piano professor
mainThe Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has fortified its piano team with the appointment of Norman Krieger as professor of music (piano).
Krieger, a noted concert pianist, has been plucked in a close-season transfer from USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles, where he taught for 19 years.
I have known Norman since 1977. He shares the legacy of the traditions of beautiful pianism and playing through our studies with Adele Marcus. Couldn’t be happier for him and for IU for their bringing him to their ‘family’! Good luck to them and the students of IU!
I had the pleasure of presenting Norman as guest soloist with an orchestra I managed. He is a wonderful artist and human being.
