  • Jeffrey Biegel says:

One of the finest American pianists and still going strong. I remember him when he was teaching at The Juilliard School in the 1980s. Godpseed to this fearless titan!

  • Mark Powell says:

Abbey will be back, that it for sure. He is a force of nature and has always been so.

  • Aria da capo says:

Just how long such an injury takes to be healed? I’ m asking because something similar has happened to our pianist/maestro, a sort of Darth Vader of music, and we are not eager at all to have him back… All the best and a triumphant come back to Abbey Simon!

I wish him a speedy recovery. It would be worse, this guy had troubles mounting a comeback….

My brother Michael was one of the promising students who was selected to study with Abbey Simon when he volunteered his talents at The Brooklyn Music School Settlement early in his career. Generous as well as talented.
