The Vienna run of Dvorak’s Rusalka is having a bumpy start.

Camilla Nylund filled in on the opening night for a sick Krassimira Stoyanova, but she’s in demand elsewhere. Krassimira is still sick. She will be replaced on Saturday by Gal James, making her Vienna Opera debut.

A Barenboim protegée, Gal James, 38, came third in the 2006 Belvedere competition and now lives in Graz.
