couldn’t happen to a nicer person, particularly after she buggered up the ‘Ring-lite’ concept there last year. But hey, now she and Thielemann, whom one hears is to become Bayreuth’s first official Music Director, once this horrible duo have seen off poor Eva, can become the Master and Mistress of Bayreuth. Ugh!

Lombardero is excellent, a truly superb stage director. Good choice.
