What’s the classical portion of that, I wonder.
You mean “the global physical media recording industry,” because that’s what this graph (prepared by industry flack group the RIAA) depicts.
That’s for the US only. The graph looks significantly different and better for other regions, namely Germany and Japan and Korea.
Also classical is not looking like this at all, even in the US. Classical has its own market dynamic, being only about 3% of the US market.
This graph has to be seen, but in perspective.
Interesting to note that LPs are making a comeback, however minimal a contribution to the whole.
