Sophie’s certainly been benefitting from Garanca’s maternity leave. First, it was Werther at the Met with Sankt Jonas von Kaufmann, now Rosenkavalier in Vienna. Shame she blew off La Favorite in Toulouse to do the former, though.
Could you please correct the headline to read, ” Top Mezzo Soprano….”?
There are very few times when a mezzo gets top billing!
