This, so far as we can tell, is the very first performance of the Johannes Brahms Albumblatt that Christopher Hogwood claimed to have discovered. The premiere was given eight or nine months before that ‘discovery’.

The pianist is the excellent Craig Sheppard. More about it here. It’s a lovely performance.

What a nice performance. He has an interesting take on the “mistake” in the manuscript! Different to Andras Schiff’s.
