Early music pioneer has died, aged 67
mainChristopher Jackson, founder of Montreal’s Early Music Studio, has died of lung cancer. An organist and chorus master, he was a tireless propagator of the music of Orlando di Lasso, Palestrina, Tallis and Monteverdi.
He served as Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia University from 1994 to 2005.
