Might putting on a few extra people at the checkpoints be more effective?

  • Janis says:

As long as she doesn’t try getting on a plane with the thing.

“Might putting on a few extra people at the checkpoints be more effective?”

I doubt it. From my experience at the Atlanta airport (along with some other airports), it makes no difference whether 5 people are staffing the checkpoints or 50, the wait will be lengthy either way.

  • William Safford says:

Maybe if there’s a problem with an instrument at the gate, they can go to her for advice?

  • Cyril Blair says:

More checkpoints would be effective, but I don’t see how adding one or two more people at each checkpoint would be. This is a purposeful slowdown because TSA has had such bad reviews lately, letting contraband and weapons get through in security tests.

  • John Foster says:

Her playing would actually make many people more tense.

    • Jennifer Warrilow says:

Actually, it doesn’t. Every time I play, I get many travelers saying thank you and that they enjoy the live music.
