The outstanding British-Hungarian violinist György Pauk has owned and played the Massart Strad of 1714 almost all his musical life.

He hates to see it idle so, he tells us, ‘I have decided that I want that this great fiddle should be heard again hence I have loaned it to Julia Pusker’.

Hungarian born, Pusker studied at the Royal Academy of Music and is now based in Berlin.

Julia was a student at the Royal ACADEMY of Music. Gyorgy Pauk was a highly distinguished and much loved Professor there for many years, until his very recent retirement and Julia was one of his very many extremely talented students. This gesture of support and generosity for her is both warm-hearted and selfless. I look forward to hearing the new partnership.
