It has been confirmed that the Reverend Canon Nicholas Jepson-Biddle has been appointed Priest in Charge of Bournemouth Town Centre.

His licensing service will be performed in November by the Bishop of Winchester.

Jepson-Biddle was dismissed for bullying and Wells Cathedral and rejected in Perth, Australia, over inappropriate social media posts.

“Revd Canon Nicholas Jepson-Biddle appointed Priest in Charge of Bournemouth Town Centre” (headline)

Pure Peter Simple, isn’t it? Indeed, word on the holy grapevine is that NJB’s formal installation is to be conducted by the Right-On Revd Dr Spacely-Trellis, legendary go-ahead Bishop of Bevindon.

  • Tiredofitall says:

Another good reason to sleep in on Sunday mornings.

  • Irritated Bystander says:

This article is complete garbage and is wholly inaccurate. Canon Nicholas did not get ousted from Wells – you really should do more fact checking before posting spurious rubbish of this nature. The poor man should be left to get on with his life. Good luck to him in his new ministry

    • Winchester Observer says:

“Ministry” is laughable in his case. He appears to come from the same stable as the current Precentor of Winchester. I worry for my good friends down the road.

  • Lapsed Organist says:

OMG.. doesn’t the hapless Church learn anything from previous misdemeanors?
    Obviously NOT.
How is this man even allowed to carry on his ministry after his unacceptable behaviour in previous jobs?
Bournemouth need to be aware and watch very carefully.
Parish politics are no different from those in closeted Cathedrals.
Isn’t it about time we heard what the Bishop of Winchester has to say about his own bullying senior management?

  • Rev.S.P.M says:

Jepson Biddle? Yet again C of E sweeps their crap under the carpet. Biddle? Greatly taking the piddle. .

    • Maria says:

The CofE have been found out, but where else can this kind of behaviour be found? There was a case not long ago with a bishop in Scotland, and then all the Catholic paedophile priests that got found out. Not just in the CofE denomination but in several denominations where power is not used kindly, and the Christian message ignored because of power. Shameful.

  • Una says:

And then there is the guy at Wakefield who allegedly not only got sacked but is not allowed to minister for ten years because of – er – bullying, and all is not over there either. The whole thing makes me sick and ashamed to be a Christian of any denomination when this goes on.
