Russian pianist 16, wins 50,000 Swiss francs
NewsMoscow-born Alexandra Dovgan, winner of five Russian competitions, has been awarded the Schweizer Klavierpreis Prix Serdang.
Previous winners include the Israeli Ariel Lanyi and the Englishman Martin James Bartlett.
She’s a terrific pianist.
She is a good, promising pianist who enjoys protection of Sokolov, which makes most promoters invite her for low fees to have the maestro happy (who makes the promoters win money).
She is a very thoughtful musician – well deserved (she was already presented in Zurich with TOZ/Järvi (Orpheum Foundation) last year with great success)!
A tremendously promising talent. I remember first watching her with Mendelssohn concerto at the age of 10…
