In questa versione, Cleopatra è il fulcro dell’azione e in questo senso il soprano Lisette Oropesa non ha deluso in nessun momento. Perfetta dal punto di vista attoriale, piena di simpatia e di partecipazione, ha affrontato tutte le insidie della partitura, sia nei momenti di lirismo sia in quelli di forza e agilità. I thought you did a great job on this. Although your language is excellent and the picture is enticing, you come across as nervous about what you might be giving next. If you save this walk, I hope you will come back here often.

C’mon, she is just trying to reconstruct Cleopatra’s clothes.
Interesting how today’s opera directors seem to ignore everything about the libretto or the historical context of the works except when it comes to sex and nudity.
All we really want to see is her asp.
Nadine Sierra was truly remarkable in Traviata last Tuesday at the Bastille. Moreover she is extremely supportive to her colleagues.
I agree that Nadine is a good singer. However, it’s also true that she enjoys wearing skimpy clothes.
Actually she is only showing her arms, as the nudity is fake thanks to a flesh-coloured catsuit. The fine line can be appreciated on the shoulder.
Lisette has a strong social media game, I’ll give her that…
She also has the voice and technique to back up her social media marketing. A voice similar to what Anna Netrebko had, who has not sold her voice to attempt roles that are ill suited to it.
