Thank God!!! Hope he is cancer free now!
I try not to be truly surprised by anything I see in the comments sections of this website, but I’m trying to imagine what kind of human beings would give a “thumbs down” to a post hoping that another human being is cancer-free.
Sick people
That’s horrific. I don’t rate him as a conductor, however that’s nothing to do with humanity. I wish him all the best.

Yesterday I watched highlights of the Wiener Opernball from 2023 and FW-M looked very aged and unwell. I very much hope he is on the mend now.
he looked very trim and fit with the Cleveland Orchestra in Vienna last September.
Wishing him the best.
We all love him !
May he have many years of great music left.
Wonderful news! Here is to a happy healthy season and more to come for Maestro
He’s a great music director but he also possesses a skill set many directors do not; he knows how to raise money and market. He knows how to program as well. Cleveland is flush which means the music continues rather than going dark like many orchestras have since 2020. Stay healthy!
