Placido Domingo pledges to train China singers
OperaThe opera veteran, 82, has been named Honorary President of Shangyin Opera House, in Shanghai.
The Shanghai Conservatory of Music, whose president Liao Changyong won Domingo’s Operalia competition in 1997, has opened a ‘Maestro Plácido Domingo Studio’ for future collaboration.
‘I look forward to returning to your city very soon and often,’ said Domingo.
