Principal 2nd violin plays all parts in his own ensemble
OrchestrasDaniel Bayle knew he would have no time in his hands when he retired as principal second at the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse.
Daniel had long cultivated a passion for making stringed instruments and now decided to play all his creations in his one-man ensemble.
Watch.
Very impressive. It takes genuine artistry as well as a very high degree of musical understanding to accomplish this.
Forcing himself to a play a viola he created, won’t be satisfying. It will only increase his therapy costs.
Well, Fred, they all look like they need therapy. Why so glum? For goodness sake show us a bit of enjoyment.
It’s also worth mentioning that Daniel plays here his own home-made bows…
That’s absolutely brilliant. Bravo!
