What Yuja was up to last night
NewsI was asked, along with all other media, to give an undertaking not to review the sold-out event (tickets £15-50).
I’m allowed to say it was at the Lightroom in Kings Cross, London, at the David Hockney exhibition.
And that the pianist was Yuja Wang.
More, in due course.

If you can’t review the show: tell us more about the Venue!!
It was a fantastic event! Managed to get a close up seat and watching Yuja’s nimble fingerwork was wonderful, but with the ever changing David Hockney images alternating with other views of Yuja on the back projection walls, it was difficult to know where to look. It always amazes me that someone who has delicate hands can generate such power.
It was a great experiment and full credit to the organisers for putting it on. May we have more innovative events like this!
The glass of wine I received as part of the ticket was fine too.
I’ve been wondering why there haven’t been any articles about Yuga’s outfits lately. My curiosity is peaked. Did she perform in a bikini?
She’s still a doggone good pianist, no
matter where she plays or what she wears. She can wear a gunny sack for all I care.
“I was asked . . .”
By whom, specifically?
