Catholic Liturgical music could probably benefit from more jazz influences and it just might help put more worshippers in the pews! Pope Francis is well known for his eclectic musical tastes and humbly boasts a collection of gospel hymns by Elvis Presley! Hmmm…”Gregorian Jazz” could really catch-on…but would Jesus dig it???

His parents reject him for his jazz career but in the last reel he returns to the fold to sing in the congregation again.

That’s how it worked in the Jolsen movie.
