Maestro calls time on the Rhein

After 15 years as  Generalmusikdirektor of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Duisburg, Axel Kober has decided it’s time to move on.

Kober, 53, will leave in 2027.

    A wonderful musician and a collegial, charming, enabling conductor. It was always a great pleasure to make music with him.
