Bulgaria names conductor as minister of culture
NewsThe country’s caretaker government has a new minister of cuture.
He is Nayden Todorov, music director of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.
Todorov has previously been conductor of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra in Israel and artistic advisor of the Los Angeles International Chamber Music Festival.
His predecessor at the national philharmonic, conductor and composer Emil Tabakov was also Minister of Culture in Bulgaria for a time…..
small correction-mr.Todorov is the general director of the orchestra. there is no music director, he is not employing another conductor for it.
Emil Tabakov, a previous conductor of this orchestra was also Arts Minister.
