Two big appointments in Paris
OperaThe ministère de la Culture has named Claire Dupont as the next director of the Théâtre de la Bastille. She succeeds Jean-Marie Hordéwho has been in charge since 1989.
Meannwhile, over at the Théâtre du Châtelet the new boss is to be Olivier Py, formerly of Avignon Festival. He promises ‘audacity, joy, surprises and impertinence.’
