Shanghai Symphony cancels Paris due to Covid
NewsThe Shanghai Symphony Orchestra with conductor Long Yu have pulled out of a Andreas Homoki’s new production of Carmen at the Opéra Comique in April and May.
The reason given is China’s Covid outbreak.
The Shanghainese will be replaced by the Orchester des Champs-Elysées, conductor Louis Langrée.
The opera is a co-production with the Beijing Music Festival andZurich Opera.
